Learning Through Others: Another Reason to Host

 December 25, 2018

By  Laura Kosloff

Why should you host an exchange student?

Because sharing your life will teach someone else about who you are and brings us all closer together, a little at a time.

Because few experiences can teach you – and your children — the small but critical differences between cultures as living with someone from another country.

Because learning isn’t something you do by yourself. You learn from others. What better way than to see your world through someone else’s eyes?

As we celebrate the holidays and approach a new year in an era that seems increasingly contentious and argumentative, finding ways to cross boundaries is, perhaps, more important than ever.

All the best from us here at The Exchange Mom,
